In 2013 we shipped 6 live lambs to Germany. This required all sorts of paper work, government inspections, blood work, coordinating transportation and airline flights.
A lot of work? Yes. Though the attention these lambs got in the cargo building was a site to be seen. Staff were getting more staff to come and look at these smiley little lambs.
Don't let anyone tell you that sheep don't fly - cause our little flock flew sheep to Germany!
In the last many years, most locations around the world have changed their health protocols and are now ONLY allowing semen and embryos into their countries. The export of live lambs for breeding purposes is generally not "a thing" any more. :(
